If you're going on holiday, starting a new job, or something unexpected comes up, you can pause your plan for 1–4 weeks. The same number of days are added to the end of your plan so you'll have all your lessons by the end.
How pauses work
- You can't schedule or take lessons during the pause period, including with extra minutes. You'll see 0 minutes available until the pause is over.
- Any lessons scheduled during the pause period, or that exceed your weekly limit, are automatically cancelled.
- You can undo your pause at any time before it starts from Account Settings: Subscription
- We don't send a notification when your pause ends. Be sure to set yourself a reminder to start your lessons again.
- Pausing your plan does not stop any payments. If you are paying in installments, charges will continue as scheduled during the pause period.
What happens to your weekly minutes during a pause
Any unused minutes from your current week will expire at the next Monday refresh, as usual. However, because your plan end date is extended by the number of days you pause, you will have the opportunity to make up those lessons during the final weeks of your plan.
Pause dates — what's included
When you select a pause, the final day of the pause is the first day you´ll be able to continue taking lessons, after 3:00 AM your local time.
Example: A pause from April 1 to April 8 (7 days) means your plan resumes on April 8 at 3:00 AM your local time.
If you are unsure whether a specific lesson will be cancelled, check your scheduled lessons before confirming the pause.
You may not be able to pause your plan if:
- It is the first day of your plan. You can pause the day after purchase.
- You haven't taken a full month of lessons since your last pause.
- Your plan has already expired or been cancelled.
- You try to select a start date in the past. Pauses can only be programmed for future dates.
How to pause
- Click your profile picture then Account settings.
- Go to your Subscription section.
- Click Pause then choose the start date and length.
FAQ
Will my scheduled recurring lessons be cancelled during the pause?
Yes. Any lessons — including recurring weekly lessons — that fall within the pause period will be automatically cancelled. Lessons scheduled after the pause end date will not be affected.
Can I end my pause early?
You can undo your pause at any time before it starts. Once a pause has begun, it cannot be ended early — however, contact our support team and we'll do our best to help. Submit a request
Can I pause my plan more than once?
Yes, but you must wait at least one full month after your previous pause before pausing again.
I paused my plan but my lesson credits were cancelled when I came back — what happened?
This shouldn't happen. If your lesson credits are missing after a pause ends, please contact our support team and we'll resolve it for you. Submit a request
Does pausing my plan stop my payments?
Pausing extends your plan end date and postpones your renewal date. However, it does not affect installment payment dates — those will continue as scheduled.
