We understand that there can be many reasons why you aren't able to continue your lessons right now. We're sorry to see you go and hope to see you back on Cambly in the future.
Before you cancel, consider these alternatives
- Pause your plan — You can pause for 1–4 weeks if you need a break. Your lessons won't expire and your plan end date extends automatically.
- Downgrade your plan — Switch to a smaller plan if cost is the issue.
- Turn off subscription renewal — If you just want to stop future charges without cancelling now, you can turn off renewal and keep using your remaining lessons.
Never used your plan?
If you cancel and have never taken a lesson, please mention this in your request. Our team will review your case individually.

How cancelling works
Cambly offers discounts to students who commit to plans longer than one month. Cancelling early means you did not complete that commitment, so the discount no longer applies.
- You'll be charged the full price for the time your plan was active — from your purchase date to the date you submitted your cancellation request.
- If the full-price cost of the days you've already used exceeds what you originally paid, you won't qualify for a refund. In that case, it's best to deactivate subscription renewal and continue taking lessons until your plan expires.
- The discount you used when purchasing your plan will be lost and cannot be carried over to any future purchases. New plans are priced at the current listed rate, unless a new promotion is available at that time.
These aren't real prices, they're just an example:
You have a 12-month plan that you've used for 6 months. With a 20% discount, you paid $960.
- Monthly price without a discount: $100
- Cost of 6 months at full price: $600 (6 x $100)
- Refund amount: $360 [$960 (amount paid) - $600 (cost without discount)]
What happens to your remaining lessons?
Once your cancellation is processed, any remaining lesson time is forfeited. If you have lessons scheduled in the future, they will be automatically cancelled. We recommend using your remaining lessons before your cancellation is confirmed if possible.
Paying in installments?
Cambly installments: If you're paying through Cambly's installment option, your future installment charges will be automatically cancelled when you cancel your plan.
Bank or credit card installments: Some banks and credit card companies offer their own monthly installment plans for purchases made on your card. In this case, your bank pays Cambly the full amount upfront and then bills you in monthly installments. Cancelling your Cambly plan does not automatically cancel these charges — you'll need to contact your bank or credit card company directly to confirm how they handle refunds for installment purchases.
