Learning targets help you turn your big English goals into small, concrete things to practice - so every lesson has a clear purpose.
Instead of "improve my business English," a learning target might be "talk about data and numbers in meetings." Specific, actionable, and something you can actually practice.
How do you get your first targets?
The easiest way is to set them with your tutor during your first lesson. They'll help you figure out what to focus on based on your goals and your level.
If you didn't set targets in your lesson, no worries - Cambly will suggest personalized targets for you based on your first conversation. Check your dashboard a few hours after your lesson and you'll find suggestions waiting for you.
Managing your targets
Once your targets are set, you're in control. You can edit, remove, or add new targets directly from your dashboard at any time.
You can also ask your tutor to help you update or add targets during a lesson - they're there to help you adjust as your English grows.
Your tutors can see your targets
Your active targets are visible to your tutors before and during every lesson. This means they can tailor their feedback, activities, and corrections to exactly what you're working on - without you having to explain it from scratch each time.
